Joe Brewer is a 2023 SS/RHP, 2B, MIF with a 5-7 130 lb. frame from Hermosa Beach, CA who attends Mira Costa. Slender frame. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.07 seconds. Primary infielder, Has soft hands with quick feet, showed the ability to move well laterally to both sides of the field. Was comfortable throwing from different arm slots. Also worked out in the outfield, showed some fast twitch actions, came to the ball well, had a good glove with a quick transition and consistently made accurate throws. Jumped on the mound, starts with a side step into a higher leg lift with tuck at top, shorter stride down the mound with a compact arm action through the back. Works to a mid three-quarters release point, fastball topped out at 77 mph and mixed in a curveball up to 66 mph with short depth to it. Switch hitter, hits from an even narrow base, hands sit above his shoulder, barrel starts out flat. Has a quick swing that showed good pull side pop. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
