Matteo Mannino is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 6-3 133 lb. frame from Wrightstown, NJ who attends Northern Burlington. High-waisted, tall projectable frame with tons of physicality remaining as he adds strength. Primary right-handed pitcher, worked exclusively from the stretch with a drop and drive lower half, using his long levers to drive down the mound. 3/4 arm slot from a full arm swing, creating a tough downhill angle with his size. Fastball worked up to 80 mph as he cruised in the high-70s, displaying some cut action. Flashed feel for 12-6 curveball that had depth and late bite. Commanded the zone well, working in all four quadrants. Secondary outfielder, deep fielding funnel with deliberate, choppy footwork. Clean arm action, up to 81 mph with carry on his throws to the plate. Left-handed hitter, wide base, slightly crouched at the knees. Whole field approach as he sprayed line-drives during his BP round. Rotational lower half, tending to get mistimed. Longer swing plane with developing feel for the barrel. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
