Jameson Buie is a 2022 RHP/1B/IF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Glasgow, KY who attends Barren County. Slender young athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. Sound repeatable mechanics on the mound, has good steady pace and direction to the plate, compact arm stroke with a tight 3/4's arm slot that hides the ball well, gets out over his front side well. Fastball worked up to 78 mph with the velocity playing up due to the deception, throws his fastball for strikes with some sink and occasional cut. Showed nice feel for spinning the ball along with the ability to change the shape well, best breaking balls were curveball shaped with good downer shape. Also working on a change up. Strike thrower who knows how to pitch and will win games with that, should continue to improve with additional strength and physical maturity. 7.15 runner in the sixty, plays middle infield on defense when not on the mound. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a short stride into contact, short and direct swing with good hand use, consistent middle of the field line drive contact. Elite level student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
