Branden Adams is a 2025 C/RHP, 1B, 2B, OF with a 5-7 130 lb. frame from Canoga Park, CA who attends El Camino Real. Recorded a 8.06 second sixty yard dash time. Smaller frame with a compact build. Primary catcher with a wide base and even stance, transfers at the chest and has a long arm action and high release point. Developing quickness and explosiveness in the lower half, has a slight pause at the top of his arm swing. Will improve as he stays low throughout the process rather than standing straight up to throw. Also worked out at first base, fields out front with two hands, long gather and release, works through the hops well. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a tall and fall delivery. Slow down the mound. Long arm actions, exposes arm on back half of arm swing. Creates some deception with slower windup. Loses release point at times. Missed high, armside often. Fastball sat 70-73 mph, touching 75 mph, with slight armside run. Had good control of offering early, lost it after the first. Works well when located down in the zone. Cleaning up arm path could help improve command. Changeup sat 65-68 mph with fading action. Confident in pitch, go to off speed offering. Created solid arm speed deception. Tough for hitters to pick up. Has swing and miss ability. Also flashed a low-60’s curveball with decent downward break. Infrequently used. Needs to pound the zone more consistently but the changeup/fastball combo is intriguing. Right-handed hitter with a pull back load and a linear bat path. Developing bat speed and strength at present, sprayed it around the field and put the bat on the ball consistently. Showed some barrel accuracy at times, hit some solid line drives when connecting with the ball on time and out front. Great student.
