Carson Merritt is a 2024 SS/2B, 3B, MIF, OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Elkridge, MD who attends Archbishop Spalding. Medium, compact build with some lean muscle throughout his frame and more strength remaining to be added as he matures physically. 7.08-second runner during the sixty. Primary middle-infielder, played up on his toes with clean and confident glove actions. Fields out in front with a smooth glove-to-hand exchange. Moved well laterally, making several athletic plays in game. Up to 80 mph across the diamond with more left in the tank. Left-handed hitter, slightly open stance with a high back elbow. Middle-of-the-field approach with flashes of juice to the pull side. Present quickness to his hands, creating some lift through the zone as he stays on the ball well through extension. Put together a consistent round displaying strong feel for the barrel and high bat-to-ball skills. Very good student. Named to Northeast Top Prospect Games Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
