Jonathan Thornton is a 2027 C/2B, 3B, OF with a 5-8 170 lb. frame from Corona, CA who attends Santiago. Features a medium frame with some present physicality. Ran a 7.88 60-yd dash. Behind the plate, he used a knee down set up during throwdowns where he popped up with some quickness while gaining good ground. Has a compact/fast exchange with some above avg. arm strength for his level up to 75 mph. Also showed solid receiving ability and athletic movements with his blocking. At the plate, he sits in a slightly closed stance with higher set hands. Uses a leg lift trigger that he initiates early and lands on time with balance. He turns a connected and accurate barrel on a slight uphill path with some above avg. bat speed for his level. He used the whole field throughout his BP round with quality impact to the pulllside that showed in-game as well.
