2021 13U Summer Northeast Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Maximus Gabelli is a 2026 OF/RHP, C, 3B, MIF with a 5-6 135 lb. frame from Greenwich, CT who attends Brunswick. Recorded a 7.76 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium frame with a high waist, long levers and plenty of room to fill out. Primary outfielder with an aggressive approach into the fielding process, gathering cleanly off to the side and works into a small crow-hop to throw. Incorporated quick release and long, extended arm action to record developing arm strength up to 67 mph during drills. Secondary catcher that receives from a side-saddle stance with quick footwork out of the crouch, slightly elongated mid-line transfers and accurate throws to the bag. Recorded arm strength up to 60 mph from behind the plate during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider base with a high hand set, high back elbow and small forward stride. Incorporates rotational lower half mechanics to get to launch, while using an elongated, round swing path to make contact. Displayed developing bat-to-ball skills with mostly pullside contact and occasional line-drive when on-time. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments, refinement of his defensive skills and additional strength. Excellent Student.
