Carter Moon is a 2027 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-6 125 lb. frame from Bogart, GA who attends North Oconee. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and some present strength proportioned throughout with additional room to fill. Ran a 7.57 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves well on feet and stays low behind the ball, moves well laterally to either side and maintains balance on the charge play, athleticism plays, funnels cleanly going up the middle and shows ability to drop slot, arm strength will continue to develop on throws. Also pitched, rhythmic delivery with high leg lift and full arm action through the back, does a nice job of working downhill. Fastball topped out at 75 mph and plays well down in the zone and shows present feel for spinning a 12-6 shaped curveball, can bury when needed in the mid/upper-60s. Left-handed hitter, begins with an open stance and utilizes a tighter hand load at start of swing, nice job of staying on time with mechanics. Contact oriented approach and handles the barrel well, swings with intent and works on a linear path with line drive carry coming off, comfort to the middle and pull side parts of the field.
