Christian Trantino is a 2024 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Brooklyn, NY who attends Xaverian. Recorded a 7.38 second sixty-yard dash time. Projectable, long-levered frame with some present lower half strength and plenty of room to add strength as he physically matures. Primary left-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Simple, easy operation with slightly coiled leg lift, drop-and-drive lower half mechanics and loose, easy arm action. Fastball worked in the mid-to-upper 70s for the majority of his outing and topped out at 80 mph from an extended three-quarters arm slot. Clean, repeatable arm pattern with some whip to it, projects to add significant arm speed as he physically matures. Mixed in promising 2-7 shaped slider as his go-to secondary offering, as it has both horizontal sweep and short vertical depth to it. Tunnels two-pitch mix effectively. Strike thrower with some deception due to slightly cross-fire release. Tons of projection remaining and should make significant velocity gains in the near future. Excellent Student.
