Andrew Grier is a 2023 RHP/1B, OF with a 6-2 226 lb. frame from Justin, TX who attends Northwest. Posted a 7.82 in the 60 yard dash. Large, strong build projects with the right look and feel on the mound. Primary RHP, topped the fastball out at 82 mixing the slider and changeup well. Utilizes two and four seam action with the heavy fastball. Slider has tight spin with late horizontal break, when he releases with a softer spin he creates more depth to it while the changeup was consistent with dive. FIts the part at 1B with overall smooth actions and good mobility off and around the bag and plenty of arm strength at the position. Left-handed hitter, very physical with impact off the barrel. Slightly open start creates separation on time and generates good bat speed, simple swing mostly that consistently found the barrel for carry. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
