Amari Reynolds is a 2027 SS/RHP/3B with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Gresham, OR who attends Sam Barlow. A medium build and athletic frame with strength that showed. Ran an 8.27 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop who showed off glovework that was functional, funneling well to his chest and throwing 80 mph across the diamond. He threw from a three-quarters arm slot with some whip to the arm, working quick through release. Simple operation as an infielder. Worked out as an outfielder as well, shuffling into the ball with some quicker arm action. Threw 79 mph from the outfield during the defensive workouts. Switch hitter. As a left-handed hitter, he sets up with a wider base and an inward toe-tap. He created some whip to the hands with a smooth barrel path, looking the part when he's able to stay on time and stay through the ball. As a right-handed hitter, he sets up similarly with a wider base once again. Had a good feel for the barrel as well. Added 2 hits in-game as well. Also took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher with some strength to the frame, showing some whip to the arm from a high three-quarters arm slot. He had a longer reach through the back. The fastball was up to 79 mph with some life to it, running well. He also showed a curveball in the low-70s with a good 11/5 shape to it. Showed some depth to the pitch. He threw for an inning with a hit and a strikeout to his credit.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
