Ben Filler is a 2025 RHP/3B, OF with a 6-1 167 lb. frame from Winter Springs, FL who attends Oviedo. Recorded a 7.38 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher with a lean and athletic build. Pitched exclusively from the stretch and begins with a leg lift to core level. Employed simple mechanics overall, using a longer arm action. Ran the fastball up to 81 mph and paired with a tight breaking ball. Spun the breaker with conviction, showing tight and short downer break. Pitch has potential to be a weapon. Secondary third baseman and used choppy footwork, using a long arm action, and releasing from a higher slot across the diamond. Also worked out in the outfield and worked aggressively to the ball, working through it well. Right-handed hitter and starts from a wide base with even feet. Simple components to swing and repeated it well. Deeper hand load, linear bat path that creates some whip, and stays balanced well. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
