Grant Breaux is a 2024 RHP/3B with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Baton Rouge, LA who attends Catholic HS. Large, athletic frame with a slender build and lots of room to add strength. Primary right-handed pitcher who only pitched during the event. Longer arm stroke through the back with a side step into a leg lift at the belt. Fastball has some sinking life to it and commanded the pitch primarily to the arm side of the plate. Pitch topped out at 88 mph and lived mostly in the low to mid-80s. Curveball has 11/5 shape with feel to locate the pitch for strikes. Softer break but good shape and projects. Worked quickly and looked to get weak contact early. Will be able to hold stuff longer into outings with added strength. Verbal commitment to LSU. Good student.
