2022 Fall Connecticut Showcase
Anthony Marino is a 2025 C/2B/OF with a 5-3 120 lb. frame from Utica, NY who attends Thomas R Proctor. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean build, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.53 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set up behind the plate, receives out front and gets the ball out of glove quickly, very tight arm action and release, shows some present carry on throws and gains short ground with lower half, consistent actions and works around the bag with throws. Right-handed hitter, begins with an open and bent knee stance, gets closed moving into contact, contact oriented approach with some looseness to hands. Stays short to the ball and best contact when getting the barrel out front. Shows some feel for the barrel, projects with added strength, occasionally gets downward with swing path. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
