Tanner Cahill is a 2023 C/RHP, MIF with a 5-11 135 lb. frame from Woodstock, GA who attends Woodstock. Features a slender build with room to add. Ran a 7.38 60-yard. Showed a functional operation throughout infield workouts. Hands caught the ball fairly well. Arm strength should come as strength is added to the build. Utilizes an even, slightly open stance with a leg lift timing mechanism. Liner path which stays through the middle of the field well. Flashed the ability to whip the barrel through the zone. Power plays gap to gap currently with more likely down the line. Also performed well on the bump. Uses a quick tempo, tall and fall delivery. As athleticism down the mound. Long arm action leads to a high 3/4 release. Occasionally will drop arm slot to provide a different look. The fastball sat in the low-70s, topping out at 77 mph, with cut action. Still refining command of the offering. Paired with a mid-60’s curveball with slurve-type action. Generates some spin of pitch. Repeating consistency of pitch will make it more reliable. Projectable arm overall with a solid pitching foundation. Good student.
