Nick Franklin is a 2027 OF/RHP/2B with a 5-11 156 lb. frame from Saint Petersburg, FL who attends Northside Christian. Medium high waisted build with plenty of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance, swings hard with an uphill swing plane, gets good separation and has some looseness, ball comes off the barrel hard, like the intent in his swing. 7.30 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, comes and gets the ball well into release, good footwork in his gather and transition into throwing, high release slot, can work downhill into his throws more consistently. Also worked out in the infield, has good lower half athleticism and moves well, still developing his footwork here, full arm circle with some on line carry. Took a turn on the mound, throws from a high energy delivery with a compact arm action and an over the top arm slot, short stride out front. Fastball worked in the upper 70's and topped out at 80 mph, also threw a short slider. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
