Evan Schickler is a 2025 RHP/MIF with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Nesconset, NY who attends Smithtown East. Medium, square shouldered frame with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.68 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, full windup on the mound with a belt high leg lift, some gather in lower half; works to a three-quarters release point through the backside. Filled up the strike zone consistently, fastball topped out at 76 mph and did a nice job of maintaining throughout, projects for more velocity moving forward. Sequences well and mixes with some comfort, showed a short curveball up to 69 mph with flashes of depth and ability to land for strikes. Works to an over-the-top release on throws across the diamond, will continue to refine actions, longer release but shows present arm strength and carry with some footwork in actions. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and a tight hand set with a high back elbow; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Keeps hands inside throughout swing and shows quickness to them while working on a linear path. Consistent contact with line drive carry to all parts of the field, projects with additional extension out front. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
