Steven Cavaco is a 2025 1B/LHP/OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Owens Cross Roads, AL who attends Huntsville. Well-proportioned frame with good physicality and additional room to build. Ran a 6.96 second 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, moves around the bag well with really good hands, picks the ball with comfort/ease and under control as a whole; athletic enough for the outfield as well, very clean actions to and through the ball with solid low-80s arm strength already. Pitches as well, really clean delivery and hides it well with a closed front side creating separation, up to 78 and throws strikes with it, younger feel for curveball and kills some spin on the changeup. Left-handed hitter, really stood out in BP, even base and moves in with good rhythm, pretty swing with great hands and real strength behind the barrel, torques fairly well and can turn the barrel over with big intent and impact to the pull side. Named to 2023 Sunshine Southeast Top Prospect List. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
