Kaine Ellis is a 2026 C/3B/SS with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Brooksville, FL who attends Hernando. Medium athletic build with good strength for his age. 7.82 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, showed solid game actions behind the plate, has athleticism and a strong arm for a 2026 and received the ball well. Also worked out in the infield. Left handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a clean shift into contact, well timed swing that he repeats well, gets extended through contact, is aggressive attacking the ball and can get some jump off the barrel, got the ball in the air consistently, projectable hitting tools. Also pitched, has simple turn and throw mechanics with a compact catcher's arm action. Curveball was his best pitch, gets on top of it very well with tight high RPM spin and plenty of depth. Fastball topped out at 75 mph. Good all around athlete with a chance to hit. Good student. Named to the Fall Academic Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
