Dj Ford is a 2028 OF/RHP/SS with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Tampa, FL. Medium, athletic frame with a high waist and present strength proportioned throughout, additional room to grow moving forward. Ran a 7.13 60-yard dash, speed plays up in game significantly, aggressive on the bases and will swipe bags at will, accelerates well base to base. Primary outfielder, long and loose arm on throws and shows accuracy to the intended base, bigger gather into crow hop, loose and easy actions moving to the ball. Young actions in the dirt, shows athleticism, effort at release, will continue to refine consistent release point. Also pitched, leg lift up to waist, longer arm action through the back; worked around the zone, fastball topped out at 73 mph and able to miss bats with curveball showing 11-5 shape, landed it consistently for strikes. Right-handed hitter, begins with a tall and open stance in the box, some movement to barrel at start of swing; utilizes a big leg lift trigger at the plate. Swings the bat with intent , lots of present bat speed in swing and consistently found loud barrels in live action. Occasionally gets out front early, shows impact strength to the pull side, best when getting extended out front. Named to the 2023 13u Perfect Game Select Festival.
