Caleb Smith is a 2025 RHP/3B with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Surprise, AZ who attends Shadow Ridge. He posted a 7.78 in the 60 yard dash. Primary pitcher shows good size that will play well with added strength. The right-hander topped the fastball out 62 mph. Simple delivery showing low stress on the arm has a good future look to it with added feel for his mechanics and knowledge of the zone. He has a longer arm circle releasing at a high 3/4 slot. The overall operation needs to continue to develop feel to repeat consistently. Has an idea for his release, there are some elements to refine so he can discover more potential as he progresses. In the infield there is some awareness for the position to unlock including loosening up the arm action and increasing his agility. Right-handed hitter, has a feel for the barrel and covering the zone. Showed a whole field approach that sprayed line drive power around. Limited movement and sync in his mechanics but holds a fine contact tool to build on.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
