Shawn Rawls is a 2022 C/1B with a 5-10 195 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Langham Creek. Large frame with long levers and some present strength. Recored a 8.32 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary catcher with a developing defensive skill set; using a segmented catch-and-throw process to deliver accurate throws and gaining ground towards his target. Upright throwing position with longer arm action and deliberate movements. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, even stance with high hand set and simple leg lift trigger. Middle-of-the field approach with ability to use all fields with good feel for the barrel and fairly consistent bat-to-ball skills. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and physical maturity. Excellent Student.
