Jacob Stewart is a 2023 C/MIF/OF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Murphy, TX who attends Plano East. Medium slender build with plenty of room to fill out as he continues to develop, posted a 7.08 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary catcher, sets up in a conventional crouch, transfer is clean and quick, gets out on his front side into his throws. Posted a 2.08 second pop time down to second base in the catching workouts. In the infield, glove works well out in front, moves well into the hole as well as up the middle. Makes the routine plays consistently, shows good accuracy across the diamond. At the plate, uses an upright and even stance with a large coiled leg kick trigger. Looks to fire his lower half through with authority, still understanding his rhythm and timing with the pitcher. Middle of the field approach, good student in the classroom as well.
