Jaydon Ortiz is a 2027 SS/RHP/C with a 5-11 125 lb. frame from Needville, TX who attends Needville. Recorded an 8.42 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop with a lanky frame and high waist. Moves well laterally with long strides. Showed good hands and solid actions in the dirt. Right-handed hitter and starts from an even stance with a high back elbow and hands. Hits the ball out front and uses a full swing path through the zone. Worked the pull side and middle of the field during the round. Secondary right-handed pitcher uses a short, deliberate delivery. Employs a compact arm actions and releases from a high-3/4 slot. Ran the fastball up to 70 mph and mixed in a depthy curveball that showed some downer break when right.
