Grant Stafford is a 2027 SS/RHP with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Lufkin, TX who attends Lufkin. Medium frame with a lean and athletic build, projects well physically. Ran a 7.16 second 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, good balance on the dirt with range and good hands, times himself well and moves through the ball with good intent, up to 81 across and projects easy for more. Pitched as well, clean delivery with some life to the stuff, quicker arm and gets good sinking life to the fastball up to 70, stays on top of the curveball well and was effective with the full mix. Left-handed hitter, short move in and hands work well/on time, good quickness to the wrists and controls the barrel well, able to use the whole field but best impact to the pull side, good bit of projection as a whole. Named to 2023 13/14 Sunshine South Top Prospect List.
