Austin Tran is a 2025 C/2B/IF with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Cypress Ranch. Smaller build. Behind the plate, he showed lots of promising traits with feet that replace themselves with quickness as well as a quick exchange into a from ear release. However, just lacks the true arm strength to let the sound fundamntal play up. In the infield, he preps well and ranges laterlally with ease keeping the center of gravity low throughout. Ample feel for the leather to remain in the center of the diamond. Arm strength is still developing but the throws showed accuracy across. At the plate, he sets up with narrow stance and utilizes a leg lift load. Longer swing path with some bat speed. Approach is mostly geared through the middle nd to the opposite field. Could improve the feel for the barrel as well as strength to impact. 7.72 60-yard. Outstanding student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
