Jacob Smith is a 2023 SS/RHP, IF, OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from The Woodlands, TX who attends Grand Oaks. Medium, average build. Ran the 60 yard dash in 6.56 seconds. Primary SS whose throws across the diamond in the infield reached 81 mph. Showed some quality lateral mobility when ranging for balls. His throws from the outfield topped out at 78 mph. On the offensive side of the ball he hit out of a square and balanced stance with an abbreviated leg kick load. Does a nice job of getting off the back side and getting the lower half involved in his swing. Showed an all-fields approach. Excellent student.
