Aleks Yarich is a 2024 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Robinson. Large frame with a lean and athletic build. Ran a 7.19 second 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, plays back on the ball a bit but fields it cleanly and moves around the bag with sound fundamentals while releasing from a compact arm action that produced solid throws across the diamond. Also pitched, simple delivery with a busy take back, fastball plays true to velocity with short run to the arm side while he showed feel for a sweeping breaking ball in the mid-60s. Left-handed hitter, sets up wide and slightly open; has some length to the swing as he works level through the zone, can struggle to get off the back side and will improve jump off the barrel as he engages the lower half more and gets into the physical projection. Great student.
