2021 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Evan Duncan is a 2023 OF/MIF with a 5-7 130 lb. frame from Little Elm, TX who attends Lone Star. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.10 seconds. Hits from open stance with high hands and leg lift trigger, slashing path that works downhill, handsy swing that serves the barrel out, swings with intent, will improve with strength gains. Worked out in the outfield, attacks the ball and moves well, reads hops well and maintains momentum through the ball, quick release, clocked up to 68 mph on throws back to the infield. Also pitched, gets down the mound well with good direction, high 3/4 slot, fastball worked 64-68 mph. Excellent student.
