1B Aaron Alcock: One of the Perfect Game scouts called Alcock "Jim Thome Jr.", which is a bit of hyperbole but is descriptive about what Alcock does on the baseball field. That is, he hits, and hits it hard and far consistently, from the left side of the plate. Alcock doesn’t possess a ton of natural athletic ability, although he’s fine around the first base bag, but put a bat in his hands and he gets much smoother and quicker. Alcock has a patient, comfortable approach at the plate and showed us the ability to both turn on the ball and hit with power to right field and to wait back and line balls up the middle. It looks like he has above average hand strength with a wood bat. This young man can hit at the college level and be a run producer.
