Troy Lacerte is a 2021 C/RHP/SS/OF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Wilmington, NC who attends Coastal Christian. Large athletic build with plenty of strength potential. 7.40 runner in the sixty, plays multiple positions on defense. Looked the best in the outfield with good aggressiveness and quick feet through the ball, makes accurate throws from a low arm slot, shows the same type of aggressiveness to the ball in the infield. Young catching fundamentals and footwork. Low throwing slot and developing arm strength at all positions. Right handed hitter, hits from a high hand start with limited back side and lower half load and involvement, line drive swing plane. Also pitched, compact arm action, upper body delivery. Low 70's fastball topped out at 74 mph, slider had some nice swing action, threw strikes with both pitches and competed well. Good student.
