2021 National Underclass South Showcase
Weston Riddle is a 2025 SS/RHP, OF with a 5-10 135 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Bridgeland. He ran a 7.36 second sixty. A primary short stop with a young slender build. On the infield he showed young actions with the glove with developing footwork as he works around the ball, he takes a longer gather doing a nice job of gaining ground into the the throws with average arm strength across the diamond. In the outfield he fields the ball on the side doing a nice job of maintaining his momentum into the throws with accuracy to the bases. On the mound he shows a shorter stride down the mound pitching against a stiff front side with an average arm action up to a high three-quarters slot. The fastball sat 70-74 mph with occasional arm side run, he also mixed in a low 60's breaking ball that showed young spin traits. Right-handed hitter, starts with an even stance and narrow base using a inward leg swing to trigger the linear bat path with limited weight shift into contact showing young bat speed and strength at contact that will get better with maturity.
