Vaughn Lengel is a 2026 3B/RHP with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Dripping Springs. A primary third baseman with an athletic lean build. Ran a 7.20 second sixty. Showed younger actions with the glove on the infield working to the ball with a measured approach as he receives the ball deep on the body and gathers into the throws with developing arm strength across the diamond. Works with a slower tempo to the delivery on the mound. Does a nice job of throwing strikes early in counts with the fastball from a high three-quarters arm slot with subtle arm side run forcing contact. Showed the changeup once for a swing and miss at 70 mph and a mid 60's curveball with limited depth through the hitting zone. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wider base and open stance coiling into the load as he works back to even. Showed some intent with the hands producing some punch at the point of contact when he was able to get to extension at contact. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
