Mitchel Szymczak is a 2022 C/MIF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Strongsville, OH who attends Strongsville. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present physical strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 7.19 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set behind the plate, receives the ball out front, comes out of crouch well and gains ground, gets a bit tall at release but repeats mechanics nicely, works on top of throws and shows solid arm strength and carry down to second base with very good accuracy. Right-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. longer swing path through the zone with plenty of present bat speed, shows a consistent handle for the barrel and has quickness to his hands. Does a nice job of getting extended out front, bball comes off hard to all fields, generates some strength at the point of impact. Good student. Named to Fall Connecticut Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
