Michael Allen is a 2026 C/OF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Bridgeland. Lean athletic build with lots of physical projection remaining. Primary catcher on defense, has very athletic actions for the position, quick and flexible lower half, shifts and blocks very well and has big range on pop ups, plenty of arm strength from a long and loose arm action. Has the athletic tools and arm strength to play the outfield as well. Right handed hitter, has a big shift into contact, aggressive hitter, gets the barrel out front with some bat speed, works gap to gap well. Took a turn on the mound, throws from a compact high 3/4's arm action with easy low effort mechanics. Fastball worked in the low 80's with consistent cutting action, also showed some bite on his slider and threw strikes with both pitches. Plays defense with great energy and has a chance to be impactful there with additional strength. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
