Anthony Borja is a 2025 3B/RHP, 2B, SS, UT with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends St. Thomas. Primary third baseman with a slender build showing room to add strength moving forward. Ran a 7.29 second sixty. Has some feel for the glove on the infield showing well going to the backhand with clean transfers. Shows some arm strength with intent getting the ball across the diamond accurately while also changing the arm slot when needed. Starts with a hybrid start int eh windup on the first base side of the rubber. Side step into a belt high leg lift with a longer arm action to a high three-quarters arm slot staying on line through the back. Works down the mound with drop and drive action on the back side maintaining his line to the plate. Fastball shows arm side run at 75-79 mph getting under the hands of right-handed hitter when he needs to. The moment on the fastball can set up the slider with shorter sweeping action around 70 mph. Changeup makes up a third pitch, playing on the same plane as the fastball with a solid change of speed. Right-handed hitter, starts with an even base using a simple stride to trigger the swing. Has flashes of bat speed through the zone while doing a nice job of getting on plane. Drove the ball back up the middle with more power to come as the lower half gets stronger. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
