Alan M. Perez is a 2026 C/UT with a 5-6 146 lb. frame from Miami, FL. Young, square shouldered frame with some present strength and additional room to grow moving forward. Ran an 8.44 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, higher set behind the plate during drills, receives the ball out front, longer stride coming out of crouch, will continue to refine lower half mechanics,, longer arm stroke through the back, worked around the bag with throws. Right-handed hitter, begins with an open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, gets closed moving into contact with short leg lift. Keeps hands inside the ball throughout swing, occasionally gets too spread with lower half, short finish through the ball, shows ability to go the other way, bat speed will continue to develop with added strength.
