Alexander Boston is a 2024 RHP/3B with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Afton, MN who attends Stillwater. Big and strong athletic build with some physical projection remaining. Primary right handed pitcher, works from a high 3/4's arm slot with a big leg raise start, tends to open his upper body early, vertical upper body mechanics with some lower half drive down the mound. Primary fastball thrower, fastball topped out at 81 mph, plenty more velocity there with some mechanical adjustments, threw strikes with his fastball and worked ahead in counts. Change up was his best secondary pitch, tunnels it well with his fastball. Flashed a soft curveball but still developing his release point and arm speed on the pitch. Right handed hitter, has nice hitting tools to develop as a potential two-way prospect. Hits from a straight stance with a short controlled stride into contact, low hand start, uphill swing plane with good lower half rotation, can elevate the ball, has bat speed with good barrel control. 7.35 runner. Very good student. Named to the Midwest Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
