Robert Ferrell is a 2023 OF/ with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Temecula, CA who attends Great Oak. Medium, strong looking frame with square shoulders and loads physical strength in his lower half. Recorded a 7.20 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary outfielder with a fundamentally sound defensive skill set. Fields properly off his front foot, gathers cleanly and transitions into a well-maintained release. Recorded online, accurate throws up to 80 during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider base with good balance, a slightly pushed back hand start and high back elbow. Incorporates a toe-tap trigger, barrel tip loading mechanism and rotational lower half mechanics to get to launch. Whole field approach with burgeoning feel for the barrel and tons of strength at impact. Displayed plenty of present bat speed and showed gap-to-gap power potential. Will continue to improve with minor adjustments to his swing mechanics and additional arm strength. Fundamentally sound prospect with some offensive upside. Excellent Student.
