John Dober is a 2024 1B/RHP/IF with a 6-4 166 lb. frame from Fort Mill, SC who attends Fort Mill. Long and lean young build with lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a balanced stance with a toe tap load, shifts to his backside and will stay there at times, middle of the field line drive swing approach and turned on the ball a few times when his weight shifted on times, handled the barrel well and was aggressive attacking balls in the zone. 7.44 runner in the sixty. Showed good coordination and lower half actions at first base on defense, throws from a lower am slot. Took a turn on the mound, rotational delivery with a closed front side out front, mid 3/4's arm action has some quickness and hides the ball well. Fastball topped out at 78 mph with good running action at times that got into hitter's hands. Repeated his release point well from fastball to slider and showed good sweeping depth on the slider. Threw strikes and was effective as a pitcher. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
