Michael Forret is a 2022 RHP with a 6-4 180 lb. frame from Indian Trail, NC who attends Providence. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, plenty projectable moving forward with room to fill throughout. Right-handed pitcher, begins with a side step moving into contact with a leg lift up above belt; longer arm action through the back with present arm quickness getting to a high three-quarters release point. Shows the ability to miss bats with the fastball, topped out at 92 mph in this look with some life to arm side, will continue to refine overall command, velocity projects very well. Curveball has makings of a swing and miss type offering, hammer shape and late depth up to 78 mph when maintaining slot and working on top of the ball, shows a nice feel for landing the pitch for consistent strikes. Tends to drop slot on changeup, up to 83 mph with the pitch. Verbal commitment to East Carolina.
