William Maier is a 2024 RHP/1B with a 6-5 160 lb. frame from Lawrenceville, GA who attends Grayson. Has lots of body projection from a tall and slender build. Ran a 7.48 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, filled up the zone throughout his outing. Full windup and lands slighted closed creating some crossfire and deception. Currently lacks movement in the lower-half and separation. Ran the fastball up to 77 mph from a longer and fuller arm, has a fair bit of life to it and flashes some cutting action at times. Also went to a mid-60s curveball with some depth and proved to be able to land it. Also worked out at first base, showed good feet around the bag and made clean turns while recording throws up to 72 mph. Right-handed hitter, starts from a narrow base. Has some hand speed and works from a short and level path. Will need to create some leverage moving forward. Has gifted size and is still learning his body. Added strength and weight will help him improve in all facets. Good Student.
