Asher DeLue is a 2026 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Princeton, NJ who attends The Hun. Long, lean frame with huge physical projection remaining. Recorded a 7.31 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary left-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Incorporates good lower half movements down the slope, stays inline and displayed some athleticism. Fastball worked in the low-80s early on during his outing, peaking at 85 mph from an extended three-quarters arm slot. Developing command of the strike zone that will continue to improve with mechanical adjustments and refinement. Mixed in a breaking ball that varied between a more vertical curveball and slurve with some horizontal tilt to it, while flashing a slightly faded changeup to complete his three-pitch mix. Secondary outfielder with a sound defensive skill set and promising present arm strength. Fields properly off his front foot, transitions into release using a big upward move and produced arm strength up to 85 mph during drills. Left-handed hitter that hits from an upright stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and simple move into launch. Displayed tightness to his turns, stayed direct to the baseball with his hands and has some present bat speed. Whole field approach with line drive intent and some impact when on-time and in-sync, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Immensely projectable prospect with upside on both sides of the baseball. Good Student.
