Louie Hess is a 2022 3B/RHP, 1B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Cincinnati, OH who attends Reading Community. Strong, physical build. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.63 seconds. A primary infielder, his best throw across the infield was clocked at 65 mph. At 1B, he had a clean round on grounders and his hands and footwork synced up well. At the plate, he hits out of a square and balanced stance with a high back elbow setup. There's significant loft in the bat path along with solid bat speed through the zone. On the mound, he throws out of a high 3/4 slot and the FB sat 70-72 mph and touched 73 mph with late cutting action. The slider showed late tilt with bite and he also flashed a changeup with fade that he throws with quality arm speed. Great student.
