Manuel Chaires III is a 2024 C/1B, 3B with a 5-7 170 lb. frame from Laredo, TX who attends United. Strong build. Ran the 60 yard dash in 8.00 seconds. Primary catcher whose throws down to second base topped out at 72 mph. He also put up a 2.21 pop time as his best throw down to second. On the offensive side of the ball he hits out of a crouched stance. He has some loft in the bat path which will be conducive to driving balls in the air once he develops his timing a little bit more. Good student.
