John Hays is a 2025 3B/RHP, C, OF with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Hillsboro, VA who attends Woodgrove. Recorded a 7.47 second sixty-yard dash. Primary third baseman has a tall, strong frame and cleanly fields the ball out front with solid mechanics throwing 72 mph across the diamond while developing strength. Secondary right-handed pitcher moves from a full wind up with a controlled, well-balanced high leg lift and has a good line to the plate throwing 73 mph with his fastball that has some arm side run action. Also shows versatility behind the plate catching the ball with two hands and gains good ground to second base as he accurately throws with a pop time of 2.25. Right-handed hitter steps the plate with high hands, a high back elbow, and a slightly wide stance. Hays has a short, compact swing as he throws his hands at the ball while working the ball middle to upper field approach. Tremendous student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
