Brendan McBride is a 2024 RHP/IF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Long Valley, NJ who attends West Morris Central. Medium, athletic build with some lean muscle present throughout his frame with more strength remaining to be added. 8.06-second runner during the sixty. Primary right-handed pitcher, full wind up, getting balanced with an above-the-belt leg lift before coming down the slope. Creating a deceptive look as he comes from a lower 3/4 slot, generating some life on his fastball. Worked in the mid-70s, topping out at 76 mph, pairing his heater with a breaking ball that displayed slurvey shape with some late bite. Continue to develop feel for his breaking ball, looking to land it in the zone consistently. Velo will continue to tick up as he adds strength. Secondary infielder, fields out front with a deep funnel, playing through the ball with proper and methodical footwork. Moved well to his left-and-right, changing slots on the move. Accurate throws across the diamond, working up to 77 mph. Right-handed hitter, narrow stance with a high-hand set up. Flashed some middle-of-the-field line-drive impact when on time his leg-lift-trigger. Getting the barrel out with compact hand speed. Had a tendency to come out of his legs, while flashing some jump to the gaps when in sync. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
