Isaac Cota is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 6-6 190 lb. frame from La Mesa, CA who attends Helix. Long and lanky pitcher's build with lots of room to get stronger. High energy delivery with a compact arm stroke, still growing into his long body in his ability to repeat his mechanics, arm is fast and loose out front. Low 80's fastball, topped out at 84 mph, plenty more in there as he gets more physically mature and cleans up his delivery, gets some sink and run when he's over his front side and working low in the zone. Breaking ball developed through his outing as he developed confidence in it, flashed big 11/5 bite at full arm speed. 7.15 runner in the sixty. Showed his arm strength well in the outfield and made accurate throws. Right handed hitter, deep hand load with a downhill swing plane, upper half rotational swing with limited lower half action. Good student. Named to the Southern California Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
