Justin Davitashvili is a 2022 C/RHP with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Commack, NY who attends Commack. With lower half strength present, Davitashvili worked from behind the dish using a high set and quick transfers to produce accurate throws on the bag. The actions were repeatable and compact while showing bounce in the footwork, posting a pop time of 2.00. Secondary right-handed pitcher that works from the first base side of the rubber. He has a balanced motion and throws from a 3/4 arm slot. He does a nice job of getting extended with his glove side and works down the mound well. His fastball showed nice ride through the zone when he threw it glove side. His curveball is his off-speed offering with developing break and nice velocity difference. Offensively, Davitashvili started from an open stance with a level line drive path through the zone. Hand speed was evident with flashes of eye opening gap to gap juice. With some refinement to the barrel control, power potential could become dangerous here. Posted an exit velo of 91 mph. Excellent student.
