Tex Detroyer is a 2023 RHP/1B, OF with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from New York, NY who attends Avon Old Farms. Ran a 7.88 second sixty. Primary right-handed pitcher with a larger build. Starts with a side step into a belt high leg lift. Arm works on a long track through the back up to a high three-quarters arm slot, fastball shows slight cutting action at 76-79 mph while throwing into a stiff front side. Breaking ball showed better depth with the higher release getting on top and working more 11-5 shape in the upper 60's with good extension. Showed developing feel for the glove actions at first base fielding the ball out front with firm hands. Made accurate throws on the double play feeds from a lower slot with developing arm strength. Left-handed hitter, starts balanced and in line with the stance and high hand set. Top hand drives the swing working inside the baseball with best contact coming to the opposite field while showing young bat speed through the hitting zone.
